חגיגה של מפגש תרבויות, בחסות השגרירות הישראלית ביפן

בספטמבר 2023 יצאה קבוצת מוזיקאים מ-Internal Compass בישראל ו-Internal Compass ביפן למסע הופעות ביפן, שזכה לכינוי "שבוע המצפן הפנימי של יפן". את הסיור אצרו הן הפסנתרנית הארוקה יבונו, שהיא המנהלת האמנותית של Internal Compass Japan, והן אהוד אטון, המייסד והמנהל האמנותי של Internal Compass.

תאריכי סיבוב ההופעות היו 18-25 בספטמבר 2023, וקונצרטים נערכו במספר מקומות ביפן: Zimagine Jazz Club, Blues Alley, Cask Jazz Club ואולם הקונצרטים האקוסטי של Ishii. המוזיקאים שהשתתפו בסיור היו:

בחסות שגרירות ישראל בטוקיו, הסיור זכה להצלחה מסחררת, כשהקהל שיבח את הווירטואוזיות של המוזיקאים ואת השילוב הייחודי של מסורות מוזיקליות ישראליות ויפניות.

"בזכות שיתוף הפעולה הנהדר שיש לנו עם המוזיקאים היפנים, ובמיוחד עם הרוקה יאבונו, Internal Compass Japan הפך מחלום למציאות", אמר אהוד אטון. "אני מאוד שמח שהגשמנו את הסיור הזה, זו דרך מדהימה להשיק את Internal Compass ביפן".

מסע ההופעות של שבוע המצפן הפנימי של יפן היה אירוע ציון דרך ביחסי התרבות בין ישראל ליפן. יש לקוות שסיבוב ההופעות יסלול את הדרך לשיתופי פעולה עתידיים בין מוזיקאים משתי המדינות.
